Wirkkala - a case study

It is necessary for the company to make important decisions about how to create their version of the ‘new normal' in the (post)COVID-19 marketplace; and whether to expand, in which areas, and for what aims. The directors are beginning to recognise the central role of data in all areas of operation and they are keen to find out how they can better use data to inform their decision making but also what implications holding and using this data may have for the company. As the directors are unable to agree on fundamental issues around what the problems facing the company are, which problems need prioritising over other issues, and what the options may be, they have decided to appoint a consultant to support their decision-making. The directors are incredibly busy and do not have time to get up to date with the latest research and management thinking but they have come up with some specific questions

You have been appointed as a management consultant to Wirkkala, and you must provide an evidence base to enable the directors to identify the answers to questions that they might have.
