Coursework description
The assessment of the module comprises a systematic collection of work evidence, organised in the form of a portfolio. Portfolio assessment is most appropriate as it is an effective method for reflective practice, the demonstration of professional attributes, and ensuring fitness for professional practice. It is student-centred and suitable for demonstrating effort, progress and achievement.

1. Reflective self-evaluation
During the first day in the module, you will have to take the Innovator's DNA Self-Assessment online that will help you to understand your unique innovation skills. The test will assess 12 skills in total.

You are expected to build a portfolio of evidence from your work in the various active learning activities within this module and across the whole of the course that relates to THREEskills evaluated in the Innovator's DNA Self Assessment.Choose the skills that better represent/inform your development as an innovation leader and include between twoto threepieces of evidence per skill.

The evidence may take the form of links to videos (of yourselves, your peers, guest speakers); images, web pages, blogs, essays, journal articles etc,. The portfolio will be included as an appendix to your submitted document and must be numbered.

The portfolio will be integrated and linked together by a 1,500 word reflective self-evaluation of your development as an innovation leader, building on knowledge and learning throughout the MBA course. The reflection needs to include supporting literature and refer to the evidence presented in the portfolio, integrating your results of the Innovator's DNA Self Assessment.

The reflective self-evaluation should illustrate the interconnection of the theoretical and the practical, the evolution of your own knowledge and skill development, the rationale for the decisions madethroughout the course, and your plans for future development.

Some practical tips for this part:
• Use references to support your arguments (minimum 5), including academic and practitioner
• Focus only on the skills that are relevant to you and can help you become a better innovation leader
• When deciding which skills to choose for the self-evaluation, please consider a mix of high and low scores. Reflect on high scores that perhaps were developed in semester 1 modules and low scores that could have been developed further in semester 2 modules. How did you improve them? How can you improve them further?
• Nature of evidence to include in the portfolio (should be from the whole MBA programme from Sep21 to Apr22): we do not need high-quality material (videos/images), use a mobile camera to capture some parts from a lecture/youtube video, attached images of parts of papers/figures/tables, screenshots, transcript of a dialogue with a colleague (as evidence that a conversation took place - need to document whom did you have the conversation with). Use more than just assessment excerpts or feedback.
• References and the appendix are not included in the word count.

2. Journal entries
Write THREE learning journal entries synthesising the learning from the relevant sessions. Please consider that synthesising is more than just a summary, it needs to bring new insights (answer the so what?) as well as a reflection of how the learning had or will influence business/managers in general as well as your own practice.

1. Innovative and sustainable business models / Digital innovation and disruption / Digital attackers vs incumbents
2. National innovation systems / Innovation bottlenecks (external speaker) / Ecosystem innovation
3. External speaker - Digital innovator/ Strategy negotiation for an innovative sustainable future
